This tour was amazing! Our guide was super all day having plenty of info, kept it fun, relaxed, and made us the best brownies and brought the best home picked plums for us! And bought great ice cream from the honey shop! Amanda was great! Hobbiton was awesome we loved it! Super natural well worth a visit!

Pick up from cruise ship was great, tour guide ready and waiting no problem. Being with a small group of only 5 people meant that we weren’t rushed or overcrowded and were able to hear all the interesting information that was being shared. Tour guide went out of his way to show us extra sites and view points. Whilst we are not real fans of the Lord of the Rings the visit to Hobbiton was excellent and well worth the money.

What an awesome day, Stephen pulled out all the stops for us, it was the cherry on the cake for me visiting NZ from the UK. We arranged for Stephen to take us on the Hobbiton tour but he included many more interesting stops plus he had loaded the car with home cooking, snacks & cold drinks.

Stephen, our tour guide was fantastic. We booked the Hobbiton Tour which also was to include other sights but due to the awful weather that day we were unable to visit these sights. Stephen was great he incorporated other places that we could see without leaving the vehicle as well as the main "lookout" but due to the rain couldnt see any view. He was very informative, friendly & obliging & would definitely recommend him for any future tours. We met a wonderful German couple on our tour, it was like our own private tour just the 4 of us. Terrific family day out to Honniton! Stephen made the day special, he went out of his way to make sure the day was enjoyable for all of us. Drinks, home baking and snacks was a lovely touch. We all appreciated the visits to local places, Stephen allows you the time to take in the beauty of the stops without rushing you.

We booked this tour via Expedia as a shore excursion at Tauranga port. Stephen gave very clear instructions on pick up at port & was early for pick up. Signboard with names of guests displayed made it easy for us to find him. Stephen was friendly, funny at times, patient & considerate. He took us along Maunganui beach, then to Tauranga city centre, a honey shop & McClaren Falls National Park, making some photo stops & helping with our photos. We did not feel rushed. Water, brownies, rice crackers & lollies are provided in the new mini bus. Wifi is available onboard the bus. The Hobbiton Movie set tour was run by the Hobbiton team. It was a 2 hour tour with a guide from Hobbiton. The tour was more enjoyable than I expected as I’m not a LOTR fan. Stephen took us back to the ship in good time. We had a wonderful time & highly recommend Adventure & Cultural Tours BOP.
